i like him. i like his eyes. i like the way he looks up at me with his head hung low, like he’s not worthy. he is. i like his hands. his long arms. how tiny his wrists are. i like how quietly he laughs compared to my screeching. i like how he feels obligated to fill every silence in the conversation. i like how he listens. i like how he remembers. i like the way he kisses me, gentle. i like how patient he is. i like how he’s interested in everything. always wants to learn. i like that he likes french hip hop. i like that i can drink him under the table. i like that he reads my poetry. i like that it’s easy with him.
